If there was ever an automotive brand that the British can really claim for themselves, despite being acquired outright by Indian giants – TATA Motors in 1998 – is Jaguar Land Rover.
The British car manufacturer which specialises in four-wheel-drive vehicles is headquartered at their Gaydon site in Warwickshire and was acquired by Tata Motors in 2008, with the carmaker announcing that over 1,000 academics and engineers would work there.
Land Rover is the second oldest four-wheel-drive car brand in the world (after Jeep).
From the Iconic Defender model that was only recently discontinued to make way for a modern version, to the Range Rover Sport, Vogue, Evoque and Discovery we are taking about a truly international company that has graced many roads worldwide.
Furthermore, aftermarket accessories and turning parts and automotive accessories also adorn Land Rover models, with the industry said to be worth millions.
However, one you slide into a Jaguar Land Rover vehicle you remember thinking, this is absolutely fabulous. You just know deep down that you love the sound of the engine, along with the look of the wheels, callipers, sun roof; there is practically nothing you will dislike about this special high end automotive icon.
You are drawn to the horsepower and torque because it communicates with you and the sound of the engine will make you think you are in a turbo charged dream.
The driving experience will ensure you have a deep connection with the vehicle – echoing the otherworldly system of an outer body experience full of acceleration, throttle, wheels, turbo and beauty.
Welcome to the world of Jaguar Land Rover…
